Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer. She has gained recognition for her stellar performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. She won several awards like an Oscar for the movie Piano. The talented actress began her career in acting by performing on stage, through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. The actress has had a passion for acting ever since she started high school. Her first role in a show in the fifth grade was as Helen Keller. As a result of having mumps, she went deaf in one of the sides of her ear. However, this was not enough to stop her desire to become an actor. She was a drama major at the college after which she moved from Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dream. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart which was Hunter's debut film. Hunter relocated from New York to Los Angeles and tried to get movie parts. For Swing Shift, she landed an appearance as a supporting character. Her career spans more than thirty years and she's appeared in many TV movies, films and series. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
